Associate Kathleen Brill Selected for WBA 2017-2018 Women's Leadership Initiative
September 18, 2017
Foley Hoag LLP associate Kathleen Brill has been selected to take part in the Women’s Bar Association (WBA) of Massachusetts' 2017-2018 Women's Leadership Initiative. The program brings together senior women attorneys and rising stars of the legal profession for leadership development and mentoring. Brill was chosen for the program based on the WBA’s criteria of proven talent and promise as a future leader.
Over the next 12 months, class members of the Women's Leadership Initiative will participate in mentoring, career and business development, and profile-building opportunities. Class members will also gain insight from established legal practitioners who will share their knowledge and strategies for professional success, and introduce them to leaders in government, business and legal communities.
At Foley Hoag, Brill helps the firm’s clients in the public, private, energy, institutional and development sectors acquire, protect and develop properties; secure local, state and federal permits; and address complex regulatory matters. She was recently recognized as a leading practitioner of environmental law by Chambers USA, the publisher of the leading international guide to lawyers, and honored with the Ascending Leader Award by the Environmental Business Council of New England.
Founded in 1978, the Women’s Bar Association of Massachusetts boasts a large membership of women lawyers, judges, policy makers, and law students across the state. The Women's Leadership Initiative was introduced in 2009 to recognize and develop up-and-coming women attorneys.
