Making the most of your Summer Associate experience.
The stories are legendary. Summer Associates at firms being treated like visiting royalty, with all-night partying, luxuries you might find at an Academy Award™ celebrity gift lounge, and tales of unbelievable antics that are ripe for tabloid TV. Of course, all that changes when you begin your career as a First Year Associate at these firms.
As a Summer Associate at Foley Hoag, you’ll have fun. Lots of it. But not too much. See, from the start, work-life balance is something that we strive for each day and, as our lawyers will tell you, we achieve.
We place equal – actually, greater – importance on skill-building during our Summer Program.
Going to court, improving your legal writing skills, and learning about professional responsibility go hand-in-hand with an opportunity to experience Boston and Washington, D.C. on your own terms.
So, you’ll visit historic Fenway Park and catch a game (or two) of our beloved Red Sox, you’ll be able to battle it out with fellow Summer Associates and Associates at our ever-popular Trivia Challenge, and even play a few innings on the firm softball team (cleverly named The Andeliots, paying homage to the firm’s former name). But you’ll be afforded the time to explore our cities, make plans with colleagues and friends, and spend time with your family.
However you choose to spend your free time as a Summer Associate at Foley Hoag, we can promise you’ll leave the program with two things: great memories, and even better legal skills. Click on each city below to see what awaits.
